Our newest programme began as a response to a short film created by Street Talk TV about women who experience gender-based violence in Pearston. To offer more support and awareness around the topic, a woman’s group was formed who come together weekly, promoting peace rather than violence. It was started by Angelique Hermaans, who brought in an assistant, Liezel Taai. These two woman are supported and trained by support facilitators, in particular we have been honoured to have Paula Kingwell from Karoo Rest visit Pearston for support and training.
